Diversit-E Forum – Conditions of Access and Use

The Diversit-E-Forum is a moderated, online discussion forum.
 
You are required to agree to the terms Conditions of Access and Use each time you login into the forum.

The purpose of the Diversit-E-Forum is to enhance participation in the Diversity in Health conference by providing an avenue for delegates to share ideas, ask questions and extend discussions. 

Access to the Diversit-E-Forum is via user passwords.  Passwords will be allocated with registration at the Diversity in Health conference.  The delegate is responsible at all times for the proper use of the password and for all access under the password.  Inappropriate use of the Diversit-E-Forum will lead to removal of privileges to access the Diversit-E-Forum.

Posts may be made to the Diversit-E-Forum using a pseudonym or real name.  Delegates will be able to determine the name and any other identifying details used on the Diversit-E-Forum, and responsibility for this information is the individual responsibility of each delegate and not the Conference Secretariat or any of the organising parties of the Diversity in Health conference.

A site moderator is reponsible for reviewing all incoming messages to the Diversit-E-Forum ensuring that published messages comply with the Conditions of Access and Use.

The moderator has the right to refuse, or remove from the site, material submitted by a user that in the moderator's reasonable opinion tends to:

  • incite violence, racial hatred or intolerance against any group in our society, or which in the moderator's opinion may constitute a defamatory statement,
  • be an infringement of copyright or a breach of any other law. 
  • use insulting, threatening, obscene, inappropriate or provocative language
  • be for a commercial purpose
  • an attempt to deliberately introduce any damaging computer code or virus.

The moderator may edit your contribution provided this does not alter the substantial content of your message. Where an email address or contact details are provided, the moderator will contact you by email to outline the reasons for editing and seek your input or ask you to resubmit your message. When a message is edited the moderator may add a note at the bottom of the message to indicate that it has been edited by a moderator.

Posts to the Diversit-E-Forums will be accessible only via user password, however, the Conference Secretariat, Steering Committee and other organisers reserve the right to edited material and republish or broadcast in any media associated with the Diversity in Health conference or affiliated organisations.
